Vista Village Chocolate Festival

Big Ernie revisits the Vista Village Chocolate festival to prove that some things are better than chocolate... or at least darn good with it! The festivities will include a cooking contest and chocolate pie eating contest along with an entertaining Kid's Zone and live music by Peter Hall. Don't miss this sweet event as spring melts into summer.
Since 1989, the Escondido Downtown Street Faire has been a family tradition. Over 600 vendors lined historic Grand Avenue, but Big Ernie stood out in the crowd. His ribs are so famous, even the firemen wait in line to pack down some of this tasty grub.

Big Ernie rang in the 12th annual First Night Escondido 2007 with
an event that celebrated community, the arts, and the New
Year with 13 stages of music and dance (including an all new
County Main Stage), the best of restaurant and vendor foods,
hands-on art activities, and two dazzling fireworks displays!
Escondido Street Faire
October 2006
Big Ernie celebrated fall in Escondido, cooking up ribs,
brisket, and more for the city's second street faire this
year.
Vista Family Fun Fest
October 2006
The Vista Chamber of Commerce and Village Business Association
once again partnered to produce the Vista Family Fun
Fest street fair on Main Street in downtown Vista.
The fair included food live music and entertainment,
a children's area, and more than 120 vendor booths ranging from arts and crafts to jewelry,
clothing, and local business services.
Private Party
July 16 and 16, 2006
Big Ernie and 100,000 of his best fans, including Uncle Sam,
celebrated the 4th of July holiday for two days at the
beach in Oceanside!
14th Annual City Heights International Village Celebration
June 2006
This event celebrated the community
of City Heights, one of San Diego's oldest mid-city neighborhoods,
and featured international food and performers.
On Memorial Day weekend, Big Ernie
helped launch Vista's first ever Chocolate Festival.
Over 60,000
people joined Big Ernie in Escondido for the second
largest street faire in the state.
2005
With strong ties to New Orleans, Big Ernie's Rib Shack helped
raise funds for hurricane relief and demonstrated compassion
for Hurricane Katrina victims.
