Big Ernie and 100,000 of his best fans, including Uncle Sam, celebrated the 4th of July holiday for two days at the beach in Oceanside! Big Ernie's Rib Shack pumped out barbeque from early morning until long after dark at the Ofest Summer Beach Festival.

This festival had it all—street faire, concerts, carnival, and fireworks sychronized to a custom musical soundtrack broadcast on KYXY 96.5 FM.

Sun, Fun, & Fireworks People hit the the beach hard during the huge Ofest Summer Beach Festival. The weather couldn't have been better with clear blue skies and unseasonbly warm temperatures. The people were many and the clothes were few! The event ended with a bang, treating the crowd to a fantastic fireworks display synchronized to music.

Big Ernie Feeds a Crowd While there were plenty of other food vendors, Big Ernie set up shop on the primo corner at the foot of the Oceanside Pier. From this crossroads, he catered to a steady stream of hungry traffic. Each item served is prepared to order, so Ernie chatted with customers while Patrice assembled the food.
